Mission
From the perspective of international political economy, the international financial architecture as an essential international system defines the economic autonomy of the nation state. The Research Center studies the historical evolution of the international financial architecture and its relationship with domestic politics. In particular, taking the regional financial system in Asia as a key research theme, it examines the possible construction of a stable regional financial system in East Asia and its political conditions in the retrospect of the 1997 Asian financial crisis and the prospect for China's economic upsurge.
